Home energy leads for UK installers

LeadsHunt sells exclusive home energy leads to UK installers. Each lead is a homeowner enquiry for solar PV, battery storage, a heat pump or a new boiler. It goes to one installer only, in real time, with the answers the homeowner gave us and a record of their consent to be contacted.

How LeadsHunt leads work

A LeadsHunt lead is a homeowner who filled in an enquiry form asking for a quote on one type of home energy work. Here is what happens to it.

  • Exclusive. Each lead is sold to one installer. We do not sell it to anyone else, and we do not resell it later as an aged lead.
  • Real time. The lead is sent to you as soon as the homeowner submits the form.
  • Consent on file. Each lead comes with a consent record: when the homeowner submitted, the page they used and the consent wording they agreed to, which names who will contact them.

Who we sell to

We sell home energy leads to installation businesses in the UK that hold the right registration for the work.

  • Solar PV, battery storage and heat pump leads: MCS-certified installers. Homeowners need an MCS-certified installer to qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee and Warm Homes Plan loans, and only MCS-certified installers can apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on a customer's behalf.
  • Boiler leads: Gas Safe registered engineers and heating firms.

We ask for your registration number when you apply and check it before your first lead.

What each lead includes

Every lead includes:

  • Homeowner name, phone number, email address and postcode
  • The type of work requested (solar PV, battery storage, heat pump or boiler)
  • The answers the homeowner gave to our qualification questions, such as homeownership, property type, current heating fuel, energy bill range and timeline
  • Date and time of the enquiry
  • Consent record (time stamp, source page and consent wording)

The exact questions differ by programme. Each programme page lists them.

Consent and compliance

Homeowner leads in the UK are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. Here is how we handle that, so you can call and email your leads with confidence.

  • Specific consent. The homeowner agrees to be contacted about their enquiry by the installer who buys it. The consent wording names the buyer or a clearly defined category of installer, not vague "partners".
  • Consent records. We keep the time stamp, form wording and source page for every lead and pass them to you with the lead.
  • TPS. Live sales calls to numbers on the Telephone Preference Service need the person's specific consent to calls from you. That is why the consent wording matters. If you use automated calls or texts, they need specific consent too. Talk to us before you plan either.
  • Data protection. Read our Privacy Notice and Compliance page for how we collect, store and share homeowner data.

FAQs

Is paying for leads worth it?

It is worth it when your cost per sale stays below your margin per job. Divide the price per lead by your close rate to get your cost per sale, then compare it with the profit on an average install. Exclusive leads cost more per lead, but you are not racing other installers for the same homeowner.

How can I get leads for my solar business?

Solar installers get leads from referrals, their own website and search ads, trade directories and lead sellers. Referrals and SEO are cheap but slow to build. Buying exclusive solar leads gives you homeowner enquiries straight away, without managing ad campaigns. LeadsHunt sells solar leads to MCS-certified installers across the UK.

What is the difference between exclusive and shared leads?

An exclusive lead is sold to one installer only. A shared lead is sold to several, often up to three, so the homeowner gets competing calls and quotes. Shared leads cost less per lead, but you compete on speed and price. Every LeadsHunt lead is exclusive and never resold later.

Which installers can buy LeadsHunt leads?

UK installation businesses with the right registration. Solar PV, battery storage and heat pump leads are sold only to MCS-certified installers. Boiler leads are sold only to Gas Safe registered engineers. We ask for your registration number when you apply and check it before we send your first lead.
