Terms and conditions
These terms apply when your business buys leads from us, and when anyone uses this website. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to them, do not place an order. These terms are for businesses. Our service is not offered to consumers.
1. Who we are
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean LeadsHunt. "You" means the business that buys leads from us.
2. Key words
- Lead: the details of a homeowner who asked for a quote for a type of home energy work, together with their answers to our questions and a record of their consent.
- Exclusive: a lead we sell to one installer only. We never sell or pass it to anyone else, then or later. Every lead we sell under these terms is exclusive.
- Order: the written or emailed agreement between us that sets out your lead programmes, areas, volumes, fees and start date.
- Programme: a type of lead we sell, for example solar PV, battery storage, heat pump or boiler leads.
3. Who can buy
To buy leads you must be a business based in the UK, and you must meet the requirements below for each programme you buy. Where a requirement is a registration, scheme membership or authorisation, you must hold it for as long as you buy those leads and tell us straight away if it lapses, is suspended or is withdrawn.
Solar PV, battery storage and heat pump leads. You must hold MCS certification for the technology concerned.
Boiler leads. You must be Gas Safe registered.
Roofing leads. You must be a roofing contractor.
Double glazing leads. You must be registered with a competent person scheme for replacement windows, such as FENSA or CERTASS.
Stairlift and mobility leads. You must be a stairlift or home mobility supplier or installer that surveys and fits in customers' homes.
Business energy leads. If you are an energy broker, you must be signed up to a qualifying dispute resolution scheme, as Ofgem requires of brokers that suppliers use when dealing with microbusinesses.
Equity release leads. You must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority with the permissions needed to advise on lifetime mortgages, or be an appointed representative of a firm that is.
Mortgage and protection leads. You must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority with the permissions needed for each type of lead you buy (mortgage advice for mortgage and remortgage leads, insurance distribution for protection leads), or be an appointed representative of a firm that is.
We may ask for evidence of any registration, scheme membership or authorisation at any time, and we may pause delivery until we receive it.
4. How a contract is formed
Applying through our website does not create a contract. A contract starts when we both agree an order. Each order is governed by these terms. If an order conflicts with these terms, the order wins for that point only.
5. Our service
- We generate enquiries from UK homeowners and sell each lead in your programme and area to you only. Each lead goes to one installer and is never resold.
- We aim to deliver the volume in your order, but lead volume depends on homeowner demand, so we do not guarantee a number of leads in any period unless your order says so.
- We do not arrange or offer finance to homeowners, and we do not book appointments for you unless your order says so.
6. Areas
- Areas: you choose the areas you cover in your order.
7. Fees and payment
- Fees for each programme are set out in your order. We do not publish prices on this website.
8. How you must use leads
Leads contain personal data about homeowners. You must:
- use each lead only to contact that homeowner about the work they asked about
- contact homeowners only in the ways and for the purposes their consent covers, and follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- make sure live sales calls comply with the rules on the Telephone Preference Service, and keep your own do-not-contact list
- treat homeowners fairly and follow consumer protection law when you quote and sell, including the rules on pressure selling, cancellation rights and reviews
- not imply that you, or we, are part of a government scheme, or that any grant or finance is guaranteed
- not sell, share or pass any lead to anyone else, unless we agree in writing
- tell us promptly about any complaint from a homeowner about how they were contacted, and help us respond to it
Where a homeowner asks us to stop their data being used, or to delete it, we may tell you and you must act on it.
Our Compliance page explains how homeowner consent is captured.
9. Data protection
We each act as a separate controller of homeowner personal data: we for collecting it and passing it to you, and you for how you use it once delivered. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your own personal data as a customer.
10. Confidentiality
Each of us will keep the other's confidential information private and use it only for the purposes of our agreement, unless the law requires disclosure. This includes the terms of your order and our campaign methods.
11. Intellectual property
We own the content of this website, our brand, our ads and our landing pages. Nothing in these terms transfers them to you. You may use the lead data you buy for the purposes in section 8.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Subject to that:
- we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue or any indirect or consequential loss
- we do not promise that any lead will result in a sale
13. Suspension and ending the agreement
- We may suspend delivery or end the agreement straight away if you do not pay on time, break section 8, lose the registration in section 3, or become insolvent.
- When the agreement ends, you must pay for leads already delivered. Sections 8 to 12 continue to apply to leads you have received.
14. Using this website
- You may use this website to find out about our service and to apply. You must not misuse it, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code or copying content in bulk.
- We try to keep information on the website accurate, but it is general information and not an offer. Your order sets out what we have agreed to supply.

15. General

- Entire agreement: these terms and your order are the whole agreement between us about the service.
- Third parties: no one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
- Transfer: you may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written agreement.
- Notices: notices must be in writing and sent by email to the addresses in your order.
